Development Of Foundation Fieldbus Protocol

Foundation Fieldbus (FF) is the focus of industrial control science today. The Fieldbus Control System (FCS) based on FF is replacing the Distributed Control System (DCS) in the near future. One of the key problems of developing FCS is research and development of FF protocol, which is the main purpose of this thesis.This thesis includes as following:1 .The summary of Fieldbus, including the history of Fieldbus, the international standard of Fieldbus and the prospect of Fieldbus.2.The core part of this thesis FF procotol stack and the Data Link Layer. The subprotocol is analysed and the whole development solution is presented here.3.The Network Management and System Management sublayer, which is the unique part of FF and whose implement and functions are provided.4.The Application sublayer, which converts the information format between the user and the lower protocol layer.5.The User sublayer.
