Advanced R&D On Management Simulation System GPSS/C

The research on simulation technology stems from 1940s. After that during a long period of time, it is mainly focused on fields like weapon manufacturing, aviation, spaceflight and so on. With the development of computer science, and increase of social demand, simulation technology begins to be applied and has made significant progress in nonmilitary systems, such as industry production, transportation and social economy.In recent years, the application of simulation in economy and management has drawn increasing concern. Simulation system may be used independently, and at the same time it can also be combined with transaction process system to construct powerful management information system to make decision support.Based on this background, system simulation is chosen as the research subject. In this paper, main research is done on an improved GPSS/C and combined simulation. The improved GPSS/C, by adding new functional modules to the original GPSS/C, can greatly perfect its function for discrete-event-simulation, and make it more practical. On this basis, work done in combined simulation makes the system to have basic frame for combined system simulations.Besides the above two parts, this paper also lays emphasis on the introduction of system simulation. In corresponding chapter, it first describes the key concepts of system simulation, then points out the hot points and general conditions of research home and abroad, at last gives a prediction of its prospect.
