Management Information system (MIS) is one of the significant areas of computer application. Its core is the application of database, and its generation technology is a major subject of MIS creation. A thorough study on MIS generation method has been made in this text and an implementation technology of MIS is provided.First, the thesis discusses the problems and their causes in the area of MIS creation. The effective ways of solving these problems are given through analyzing the basic regulation of MIS. The thesis also summarizes the current methods of developing MIS and various auto-generation technologies.Secondly, the relations among different components of MIS are described by studing MIS concept and MIS structure, and the complete concept of MIS creation is given here. THE thesis points out that the combination of object-oriented project method with prototyping system design is possible during developing MIS. The operable prototype of necessary data processing methods and the corresponding application method.Thirdly, the MIS auto-generation technology is studied systematically in the thesis. The auto-generation model is concluded through the comparison of different proposals and the generator is studied accordingly.Finally,the development environment is established on the basis of data dictionary. Based on FoxPro, generation technology is obtained to ensure the system to be of maintainability, application and flexibility. The system includes a complete naming system, writing regulation for generation program, the detail definition mothed for data dictionary, application scope and basic operation. The data retrieving model with Chinese characteristics and extensive flexibility is also given.
