| In the gross, there are three kinds of TV organizations in China: central TV, municipal TV and provincial TV. When the channels belonging to the central TV and the municipal TV are in good development, many questions are found in the development of the provincial satellite TV channel, which is the most important channel of a provincial TV. Firstly, the bondages originated from the planned economy system still exist, which make the provincial satellite TV channels bear the overweight of propaganda. Secondly, almost all the provincial satellite TV channels are news integration channels. The contents, the forms and the arrangements of their programmes are almost the same. It shows deep homogeneity. Thirdly, on management, the market share of the provincial satellite TV channels are basically based on the local market. They have a low appropriation percentage in the countrywide market. All these questions make the provincial satellite TV channels pay their way. In the deep end, they are hunger for the development strategies.Now we have finished the collectivization of radio and TV and have got the membership of WTO. In such circumstance, there are three development strategies to provincial satellite TV channels:l.Coordinate and integrate the advantaged resources to build some brand columns to form the channel's brand. A provincial satellite TV channel should be a brand channel.2.To be a bardian speciality channel. It should be a popular speciality channel at the same time.3.To be a channel that has allies.Associate with others, including the other TV organizations in the same province, the other provincial satellite TV channels and even the capital overseas. |
