The test-bed for rotary sealing ring is equipment of certain factory that can be used to test quality character of rotary sealing ring. It is mainly used for rotary sealing ring of test and research. There are four devices installed in the test-bed and therefore four different types of testing for rotary sealing rings can be conducted synchronously and separately as well. Each device can be driven with its own motor for a long-time testing. Each device also can be used for a single testing.With the science development, there is little change in the mechanism of test-bed. Though the original test-bed could used to accomplish its basic functions, it's far beyond the requirements in control aspect nowadays. Because the rotary sealing ring is used in many field, and it is key factor of an equipment quality.Owing to the present condition of the test-bed, the original control systems should completely be reconstructed and improved in order to reuse the test-bed. The automatic control has been leveled up to achieve a better result of quality test for a sealing ring. Furthermore rev of motor of regulation mode is altered the original strap transmission mechanism for changing frequency mode, which can be avoid error that is caused by mechanism.The control system was modified two separate installations for performing tests on the test-bed. The control parameter of each device is complete same, as to temperature, pressure, rev and test time. The control mode of temperature, pressure and rev was closed loop. Master computer and Slave computer perform the control system task together. Master computer can realize such function as real-time running, monitoring, setting quality parameters, communication with Slave computer, alarm and real-time printing by inserting appropriate function card of according to bus protocol of PC and software. Slave computer is embedding system that was designed for function module unit, and each unit assumes different task. The embed system can accomplish these task of monitoring, communication with Master computer, alarm and replacing master computer assuming when master computer broken down. Communication mode between Master computer and Slave computer is series communication mode. Master computer assumes real-time running task. Slave computer knows Master computer with some trouble when the communication assumption between Master computer and Slave computer has changed. Then control circuit will be automatically switched to Slave computer, Slave computer will take place of the task of Master computer and inform some related person to deal with the trouble in order to resume the normal work.Man-machine conversation windows of the control system adopted Visual Basic 6.0 todesign. Laboratory technician just inputs needed parameter into the windows. Just clicking "confirm" key, these parameter are transformed into the control system. Then system is able to accomplish the whole process by self-study, self-adapt and self-adjust. It can lighten the intensity of labor and avoid noise pollution to labor after the control system being altered. Furthermore automatic control level of control system also can come up to no-man duty level.
