Application Research Of Data Warehouse In Enterprise Resource Planning

With the development of science and technology and the change of the market environment in recent years, there is a new developing direction in ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) which is Intelligent ERR DW(Data warehouse), OLAP(On-line Analytical Processing) and DM(data mining) become the key technologies of intelligent ERR Applying DW and DM to ERP, regarding DW as the data source of the ground floor of the enterprise, cooperating with various kinds of DM technology, combining the management thought of ERP and exerting the advantage of DW and DM in decision support, will bring strategic value to enterprise.The author's work is introduced as follows:1.Points out current development situation and insufficient of DW's application in ERP. Points out that the DW + DM + OLAP structure can be used in ERP system too and is used to offer decision support for the enterprise.2.Introduces the basic theories of ERP and DW, and explains the relations between DW and ERP. Studies the complementarity between them.3.Analyses the technologies involved in building ERP data warehouse: data access and analysis, data collecting, middleware, Net.Remoting and Web Services.4.Points out the insufficiency of DW constructions, and puts forward a reciprocal technology of DW constructions. Brings forward the system structure of two-tier DW based on ERP.5.Introduces the realizing method of ERP decision support. Discusses the detailed implementation of DW of ERP with the construction of supermarket's DW. Summarizes the key technologies in design and some problems in operation of D W in the realization of D W of ERP.
