It's very important to research a serial good molding method because the general molding method of fire-brick mould especially the fire-brick mould of miscellaneous shape can't satisfy demands of the high precision high productivity, cavity shape and complexity of structure with increasing of market demands.In this paper, the 3D Molding Methods of Fire-brick Mould of Miscellaneous Shape Based on AutoCAD brought up are brought up according to the complexity of the structure of the fire-brick mould of miscellaneous shape. The methods build up the three dimensional solid and the classes of the fire-brick of miscellaneous. The classes assemble the three dimensional solid stock. When the fundamental geometric parameters are defined, the data construction of the fire-brick of miscellaneous are set up by driving of parameters automatically. The side-dies ^ the block-dies N the top-die and the bottom-die of the fire-brick of miscellaneous are constructed by making use of the valid molding methods offered by AutoCAD 2000 according to the fire-brick's characteristics and its assemble relation with the mould.We have done the intellectual design of the fire-brick mould of miscellaneous shape with the help of techniques such as object-oriented technique of object ARX and Visual C++ , geometry sculpt technique, topology technique and parametric-design technique in molding practice. The following are some features of the design by menu designing and dialog-box designing: friendly man-machine conversation interface, convenient operation process and favorable expandable. The system achieved intelligently the fire-brick of miscellaneous and it's side-dies, block-dies, top-die and bottom-die after user only input some parameters of the fire-brick of miscellaneous . So manual work are educed maximally in the design and the productivity and the design precision are increased. Via specific coding and debugging, the feasibility and validity of the molding methods offered in this paper are confirmed.
