With the rapid development of hardware and software technology, computer technology in the field of industry control system has great improved. Distributed control system (DCS), with the characteristic of centralization of its management and the distribution of its functions, burthen and malfunction, is widely used in the process of modern industry. But with the Field Bus Technology putting into use, DCS has developed into Field Bus Control System (PCS) with higher reliability and high efficiency. FCS has become important developing direction of industry control system.MSCIS (Marine Simulation & Control Interface System) is a set of distributed intelligent Input/Output interface control system developed for the modern marine engine simulator. It realizes the data conversion and transport of simulation system interface between computer and control panels or other hardware. It succeeds to the characteristic and strongpoint of DCS, and has new characters of FCS. It adopts distribution pattern, which composes of one interface computer and several I/O interface crates, organizing a Field Bus network. As the manager of whole Field Bus net, The interface computer sets and controls all the I/O interface crates on the communication chain; and I/O interface crates connect with control panel or other hardware devices using different function cards, dispersedly controlling each input and output channels of the interface system.MSCIS interface system is provided with complete function, good real time, high dependability, high replantation ability and high ratio of capability to price. I/O channels of system can be expended freely and each channel can do flexible configuration. Besides, it can be used in the field of other system simulation projects and industry control projects. The research on MSCIS intellectualization interface control system is an attempt to study the interface system independently. That not only improves the ability to develop modern marine engine simulator I/O interface system but also decreases the hardware cost of simulator system; what's more, it contributes to realize independent research on whole system of the simulator with great realistic meaning and economic meaning. All the function cards MSCIS interface system, including intelligent Communication Card and Control Card based on CAN bus, Analog Signal Input Card, AnalogSignal Output Card, Digital Signal Input/Output Card, have already debugged and operated normally. It met the research goal on the development of the MSCIS interface control system.This paper is based on development of the intelligent Communication Card and the Analog Signal Input Card of MSCIS interface system. The whole tasks are including hardware design and software programming of the MSCIS interface system. The main two process of the development on system is as follows:Part one: Using Prote199 software to design the SCH chart of the Analog Signal Input Card and complete PCB charts, then have them made in factory; To debug on the hardware; To program assemble language control software of the Analog Signal Input Card and debug on the SUPER ICE 16 simulator; To utilize the SUPER ICE 16 simulator to link card to debug the control programs online; To Embed the control program debugged successfully into EPROM and debug the system on EPROM.Part two: design the schematic of the intelligent Communication Card; To apply Protel99 software to design SCH and PCB charts, then send them to the factory; To debug on the hardware and test on CAN bus chip; To program assemble language control and CAN bus communication software of the intelligent Communication Card and debug on the SUPER ICE16 simulator; To utilize the SUPER ICE 16 simulator to debug the control programs of the Communication Card online; link to Control Card and debug the CAN bus communication program online; To debug the system on EPROM.This paper introduces hardware and software technology and design experience as well as the structure and principium of the MSCIS interface control system.
