The present dissertation is based on an automation revamping project in which the latest Fieldbus Control System (FCS) and control network techniques of Mitsubishi Electric are adopted, in a paint-coating workshop of Chang'an automobile company, ChongQing. The major contribution of this dissertation lies in: A scheme for a specific renovation project with Fieldbus Control System (FCS) and control network technique, specifically the means of CC-Link fieldbus control system and Melsec Net/10 control network, is designed and presented in the dissertation. Besides that, an in-depth demonstration and presentation on the development of fieldbus, the integration means of control network and information network and its potential help for realizing enterprise information automation and integration of combined management and control, is given. This dissertation breaks down as follows:Chapter 1 gives a general presentation on the genesis of fieldbus technique with the research directions of the new technique of personal notion provided. In chapter 2 the present situation of the application of FCS-based industry control network and SCADA Configuration Software is studied . In chapter 3, a FCS-based control network of Mitsubishi CC-Link and Melsec Net/10 renovation solution is presented for the automation project in a automobile paint-coating shop, with the scheme designed and evaluation on its advantages made. In chapter 4 the fundamental communication features of FCS and its typical communication protocol is analyzed, with some instances of the realization of real-time communication among the nodes inside the FCS and the nodes between control network and information network presented, for the purpose of integrating the two sorts of network presented. In chapter 5, some certain problems associated with data exchange of SCADA Configuration Software under the environment of Windows are presented and analyzed. The development and realization of drive program for automation equipment and software interface with OPC standard gives some valuable hints on conducting further research of such software. Finally, in chapter 6 a summing-up on the research work presented in the forgoing chapters is made.
