The Analysis Of IPSec Protocols And Study Of Implementing IPSec Under The Linux Platform

IPSec(IP SECURITY) is a network criterion that was developed in recent years. It encrypts and authenticates IP packets in network layer in order to ensure confidentiality and integrity of the data. This paper begin with the security of Internet then it briefly introduces the system of IPSec protocol ,analyzes the system of IPSec protocol and some problems in it and gives some improve suggestions. At last, it negotiates the implemention of the system of IPSec protocol under the Linux Platform.The groundwork of this thesis is summed up as follows:(1) It analyzes the system of IPSec protocol.lt goes on structure analyse to IPSec and give the princle and process of how it works.(2)It negotiates the question of traditional compression method when we use IPSec protocols. It expouds the way of performing the IPComp, that is how to render compression at IP protocol layer and introduces some modification proposals.(3)It analyses the question of complexity . The principle is that complexty will result is security weakness.(4)At last, it negotiates the implemention of the system of IPSec protocol, especially FreeS/WAN.
