Research On Change Information Management Mechanism And Its Application In The Product Data Management System

The Change information is used to reflect the change of the objects in the cooperative environment, it is the information source for the cooperative members to establish change awareness which is the key factor in cooperation. The Change Information management mechanism can greatly affect the results of the change management process. As the core component of project change management, software configuration management and software version management, Change Information has attracts greater attention than before. The research effort made in this field has great practical value in improving the effectiveness of cooperation.This paper mainly focuses on the theory of Change Information, its management mechanism, and the application of the mechanism. It can be divided into two main parts, part one is the basic theory, and part two is the application. In the first part, we focus on its definition, logical structure, representation and processing principles as a whole; and in the next part, we first introduce the GSPDM2002 Change Management Model, followed by the application of Change Information management mechanism in it. We also present a detailed view of The PDM system, the ECM process and their relationship. We arrange them as follows:Firstly, we present a summary of the theories and applications related to Change Information, and then give our research objectives.Secondly, we start by introducing the three main areas related to the Change Information research, they are: Information Theory, CSCW and Change Awareness. Then we present the concept of Complete Change Information, which includes the syntax, the semantics, and the etymology. Next, we describe in detail the Change Information Management Mechanism. We first talk about its logical structure, which includes its contents and their relationship. Followed by it is the way of representation and their effects in the formation of change awareness. We talk about the principles of the Change Information, which include the acquiring, transmitting, and receiving mechanisms.Finally, We talk about the application of our research to the design and implementation of a Change Management Subsystem in the GSPDM2002 Platform produced by Greatsky Corp. We first give an overview of the GSPDM2002 Change Management Model, then describe the design and the implementation of the Change Information Management Mechanism in this model.
