With the rapid development of Chinese automobile industry, the market demand for tire quality is higher and higher. The tread is one of the most important semi-manufactured goods in tire manufacturing, because its quality determinates the performance of tire-manufactured goods. In order to realize the monitor and control of important manufacturing parameters during the tread extruding, feeding, contracting, cooling, weighting, cutting, a control system based on Profibus-DP is developed for a tread extruding line in Yellow Sea Rubber Group, Qingdao. The control system adopts a IPC plus PLC plus Profibus-DP fieldbus structure to solve the control problems efficiently resulted from the complexity of the manufacturing flow, excessiveness and disperse of I/O, multiplicity of equipments, high demand of harmonization between control equipments. In the control system, AC inverters, DC rectifiers, remote distributed I/O, servo positioning controller, and touch panel form the DP slaves in the site field to realize the drive and control; a Siemens S7-300 PLC, which acts as a DP maser, is used to harmonize the work among these DP slaves via fieldbus communication; a IPC is used to display parameters, deal with alarm information, manage recipe, print report forms. The control system embodies the distributed control, centralized management of distributed control system, and incarnates the characteristics such as total digital communication, highly openness and reciprocation of fieldbus control system.The speed chain computing of the tread extruding line is not only the representation of highly demand for control harmony, but also one of the most difficult practical control problems. The dissertation adopts a fuzzy PID parameter self-adaptive algorithm to tune the PID parameters on line according to the different demand for PID parameters at different response phases, and it has improved the control effect significantly of speed matching among different drives. The algorithm can fully use the original tuning results of PID parameters, and has no need for exact mathematic model of the controlled plant.The tread extruding line control system has been put into practical use,meets the need of tread manufacturing and works very well. So it not only has the significance of economy, but also has the value of engineering reference. The dissertation presents the manufacturing flow of the tread, whole structure of the control system, hardware selection, principle and application of Profibus-DP communication, theory and simulation of related control algorithm, programming of control software, debugging of the control system etc. concretely.
