| Based on the discussion of those theories related to MIS(Management Information System), the process of building Jiaying college's exam system of adult education has been expounded.Jiaying college's adult educational administration information system was designed in the light of adult education. Not only can it be used to credit system, but it can also meet the demand of academic year system. Consequently, it is welcomed today when academic year system is still popular in many places. The mixed pattern of C/S and B/S has been utilized in order to take advantage of the two's merits while avoiding their shortcomings. The system can arrange classrooms automatically, which is distinctive from most of the present systems, and that enables it to make full use of the limited classroom resources. The author has taken part in the project, and taken charge of the exam subsystem. Naturally, the paper originated from such practices.First, the user's demand has been acquired following the long-time investigation on the basis of principles of demand analysis, and the system was divided into ten modules.Then, the general plan was discussed, and the exploitative instrument was selected. From the view of systematic stratification, Jiaying college's adult educational administration information system is a typical application system combined C/S and B/S pattern, basing on Internet and Intranet. The adult education department that deals with the data involved servers as the center of system. After installing client software, other departments were authorized to handle their own business such as inputting, modifying, inquiring, counting, printing and so on. Integrating school registry data and teacher data, the datamodule whose center is teaching plans produce automatically course giving and textbook plan information which is issued on the web in order to get selecting-course information so that class arrangement and exam arrangement information can be available. At last, school reports are announced on the web. When it comes to security setting, both the application level security and the network level security are considered. Because Borland C++ Builder is one of the most popular andexcellent RAD, it was chosen to exploit the system.Next, the course of the development has been expounded. The exam system served as one of the subsystem of Jiaying college's adult educational administration information system includes term exam module, unified exam and missed exam module which contains regular missed exam, fore-graduate missed exam, and post-graduate missed exam. Furthermore, test question base also is embodied as one part of the system. Thanks to its perfect function, it is able to cope with the complicated situation of adult education.And then, the process of database design and realization was described: SQL Server2000 DB has been employed, and the connection of DB has been done through ADO technique. Also, take unified exam for example, the running situation of exam system was illustrated.At last, according to the performances of system during probation period and the present trend of MIS, the author pointed out that the system need to be improved in some aspects as follows. First, short mail by cellular phones can be added to strengthen information announcement function; second, the long-distance education must be intensified; third, exam on the web should be one part of the system; fourth, the test question base need consummating. |
