Research Of Virus Filter Gateway Based On HTTP And Proxy

The rapid development and wide spread use of Internet brings not only Information age, but also more contagious and more hideous computer viruses! The viruses can come to knock at your door by various means: accessing web pages, reading emails, downloading files from ftp sites and so on. In order to make the search and kill of web viruses (that transmit through web page accessing) transparent to both the web servers and clients, we introduce KPSG(Kill Proxy Shield Gateway).KPSG can make the search and kill process more effective while avoiding any risk that may ensue if this is done on the web server.The main topic is how to install a KPSG at the edge of enterprise network which protects the whole network from the harassment of viruses. The theory of web, HTTP/1.1 and related Internet protocols are introduced first. The details of KPSG's design and realization come next. At last, we give some test results on KPSG's capabilities and functions as well as the future enhancement plan for it.
