| In this paper, ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) technique and the integrate of ATM and IP (Internet Protocol) are introduced in summary. Then this paper describes a classical service requirement which is required in building the WAN (Wide Area Network) intranet by the customers. At last this paper introduces multiple virtual channels to use bandwidth dynamically in one ATM virtual path.Now the customers usually realize the applications of data, video and phone in their WAN intranet plate which is composed of the IP technique in userside and the WAN technique in the telecom provider. In much time the customers need offer much money for the intranet. The purpose of this paper is to find a way in WAN technique which can meet the requirement of the customers in security, performance-cost ratio, flexible and multiple services.In this paper , the different services is bore by the different VCs in one VP.It makes the different sevices separated and designs the QoS policy by the traffic of different services.lt is suggested that the customers use one ATM VP connection to establish their WAN intranet plate. The services over the VCs can use the idle bandwith on demand and they can add more VC connections conveniently for their multiple services in their own ATM VP. At the same time an experiment system is developed for simulatting the actual WAN to validate the effect of using the ATM VP' s bandwidth dynamically. In the experiment the ATM swich machine is PassPort7440/7480 which is producted by the well known company Nortel Networks. |
