| The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is the de facto industrial standard of an object-oriented modeling language. UML is different from other kinds of traditional languages. UML can connect JAVA, C++, etc. By using UML, the developer can realize the function of the module in the whole system and make a good design of the whole system before coding.UML can help you to get rid of some troubles such as: to find which is the basic factor, understand the relations among objects and how they can connect to each other will become more and more difficult because the code is manifold along with minutias' accumulation. It will be difficult to do some changes after lots of code has been generated. So it is an important work to decide a object's function to distribute to cooperation's setting.This paper describe the UML's history, direction in the future, main content and modeling process and to analyse the reason why it is needed in the development of application system, and the advantages to model with it. In the end, the UML's merit will be validated by on example of a library application system. |
