Semantic Web is regarded as the next generation Web extention and is paid much attention to today. Semantic Web aims at putting machine-understandable data on the Web where data can be shared and processed by automated tools as well as by people. This better enables computers and people to work in cooperation. There is a layered architecutre for the Semantic Web, including XML, RDF, RDF Schema, OWL, and so on. RDF is a general framework for describing resources and is the basis of semantic description. RDF Schema provides primitives to describe the specific kinds or classes of resources, and uses specific properties in describing those resources. RDF Schema can define the vacabularies in specified fields to facilitate information share.RDF Schema processor is one of the basic tools for developing and implementing Semantic Web applications. This paper discusses the detail about RDF and RDF Schema technology, and then describes the analysis and disgn of a RDF Schema processor called Rdfsp. The structure of Rdfsp is also introduced in this paper, including its four modules: modeling, input, output and query modules. Rdfsp provides a reliable API and basic functions for developing Semantic Web applications.
