| The wireless technology progressed rapidly and the handle held computer dissemination widely, as well as the application software based on such equipments is developing flourishing. More and more Object-oriented technology is used in the system designing and modeling field. As the same time the software architecture is developing to multi-tier and distributed. COM technology was used widely in Windows platform. But because the COM technology is based on the binary system, it is hard to work beyond different platforms and network. The NET platform which is published by Microsoft Ltd. is buildup in the distributing function as well as the supporting to XML Web Service. Contemporary, .Net Compact Framework is published aim on the platform of the handle held computer. So the software development for handle held equipments and common computer is united in one platform, as well as to buildup the mutual idiosyncrasy between them.This article studied the architecture and key technologies of the distributed system based on the Microsoft Pocket PC 2002 hand held computer and IEEE 802.11b Wireless LAN deeply, then as an example, brought forward a application frame for restaurants, which was beyond hardware platform and ran on the wireless LAN.Simultaneity, the author also made research on the Object-oriented designing methods and Unified Modeling Language (UML), then designed the objects in the restaurants manage system and described then by UML. After that the article expatiated the details of the distributed system architecture and remote object accessing technology. Based on these, the article brought forward a method through which the objects on the Pocket PC can access the objects run on the remote PC.At last, the article analyzed and summarized the system prototype which is mentioned upon, in order to prove the feasibility and practicability of the frame. Of course the article also pointed to the shortage of the system. So the article provided a reference for the similar distributed system developing. |
