As the computer networks and the automatic control technology develop and combine more and more, the Factory Automation (FA) Control Networks Techniques have gained a rapid development and wide application. The control networks technology is now playing a key role in promoting the corporate management control integration, information control integration, E-Factory, and so on.In the beginning of this article, about the development level and application of the control networks is introduced, the control technology concept, mainly studied contents and key techniques under the networks environment summarized, and the tasks and requirements of networks environment control system analyzed. It fingers out that control networks system is extension and application of computer networks technology in the control fields. The control networks system shall not only meet with the needs of the real-time control at the factory sites, but also shall meet with the development needs of a networked structure, an open system, integration and intelligent connection spot. The development of the control networks techniques shall be made with the general standards, open and networked structures.Through a summarization of current FA Control Network Techniques and an analysis of system structure and technical characteristics of control networks, feasibility of system integration with current control networks technologies is characterized. Considering the analysis of the company's actual needs of control networks system and the situation of Changhong Mercury-free Battery Factory's manufacturing equipments, a general structure of the Battery Factory Control Network is proposed, and the system integration of networks at different levels and functions discussed in detailsThe whole control networks system can be divided into a three-level structure: field equipment monitoring network level, controller network level and data/information network level. The field equipment monitoring network adopts an integration cabling system in compliance with CompoBus/S Communication Protocol. In combination with the strong man-machine interface at the programmable terminal (PT) and with the help of PLC, this network builds up an all-function field-level monitoring network system integrated with control, display, data management, cabling functions. The controller network adopts OMRON Controller Link structure and realizes at low cost a flexible data link and data sharing among SYSMAC products, SYSMAC and upper computer. With enough consideration of system reliability and extensibility, the data/information network level seamlessly connects to both lower level control network (Infranet) and TCP/IP, and an internal full-scale distribution type data/information network (Intranet) built up, that provides an full-scale information service platform for production data monitor, process control, production management, sales, financial management, resources plan, etc.
