The PDM Solutions Based On Teamcenter

Manufacture is the most important backbone industry of national economics. With China entered the WTO and the globalization of world's economic, China is becoming the center of world's manufacture industry. The manufacture corporations in China are facing more severe market competition from both domestic and overseas. The key to rapidly improve the competition ability of these corporations is to realize integration and sharing of corporation information, including information integration and sharing between different departments, inside and outside of the corporation, and between different corporations, and solve the "information island" in the corporation.Begins with TDM-PDM-PLM technology, This paper is based on the EDS PLM Solutions of EDS Corp.( U.S.A.). From the case of PDM deployment in Xi'an Enginery Institute , this paper provides a teamwork oriented collaboration solution(TDM) in enterprise information system with detailed configuration. From I-DEAS software, the TDM system configured in this paper is a consummate, integrated system of product project level data management. It provides database management method such as retrieval, modify, add, delete, merge, store to handle the data produced during the design, analysis, manufacture and test of the total product develop process. Aiming at product life cycle, the paper further discussed the total management solution(based on TeamCenter) to corporation-collaboration which can be deployed by three phases: first phase-collaboration, second phase-visualization, third phase-integration and also gives the IT facilities of the future. According to the experiment of the first phase PDM solution deployment, the institute roundly conformed relative resources. The paper also gives the key factors to a successful deployment.
