The Software Design Of Embedded Palmtop Image Display System Based On TMS320DSC21

In the 21st century, as the embedded multimedia equipments become smaller, more convenient, and can transmit video audio signals, they become more and more important in industy and agriculture area. In this article, firstly embedded system development actuality and trend are introduced, a project of palmtop type image display system based on embedded network server is proposed. Secondly based on TI company special DSP processor TMS320DSC21, a brief introduction of components of system hardware is done. Following this the theory and reality analysis of JPEG image decompression is done, it is one of the most important technique in digital image process. Next, the design of embedded system software is discussed. Software is included by transplantation of uClinux, uClinux driver design, implementation of embedded network server. At last test results analysis and summarization is done.
