Research And Implementation Of Conformance Testing Of LDP Protocols

With the rapid development of computer network technologies, network protocols are more and more complicated, making protocol development challenging work. Protocol testing is an important technology which ensures the quality of protocol implementations. Protocol testing has four types: conformance testing, performance testing, interoperability testing and robustness testing. Conformance testing is the base of protocol testing, aiming at verifying how the protocol implementations conform to protocol specifications.MPLS is an IP core technology of the next generation. Currently it is actively driven to worldwide deployment. Some foreign organizations pay much attention to the testing of LDP protocol ,which is one of signalling protocols of MPLS. Several institutes and test vendors have claimed that they can perform multi-aspect testing on LDP protocol.This paper mainly study on conformance testing. It generates LDP protocol test suite and implements LDP test system based on ANVL. This paper first analyze the features of LDP.lt generates LDP test suite based on FSM and test purpose.and then analyze the coverage of the test suite.Afterwards, this paper choose the remote traverse test method and implement LDP test system based on ANVL.At last, the practice of LDP conformance testing is performed on the LDP protocol implementation and test report is generated.The test practice shows that each part of LDP conformance testing is effective and useful.
