In order to settle the problem of IP trunk network facing in the Internet, IETF put forward the MPLS. MPLS can greatly improve the transmitting capability of IP in the trunk network, and offer the COS and QOS guarantee. MPLS can be used in the quite member trunk ATM Networks. High quality IP services are realized in these networks. MPLS of IETF is like the sign exchanging. It adds the label on the data package. Data packages are transmitted through the mapping relation of the fixed length short label with tranmit direction. Different from the tradition IP transmitting, address need not be matched in the data bag heads of MPLS. Labels are matched searched only by simple arithmetic, consequently it can improve the transmitting efficiency. The matched operation of the label also can be finished by the exchanging hardware, as ATM exchanging network. When MPLS are used in the networks, high efficiency IP transmitting can be realized. Tradition IPOA address resolve course is not needed.It belongs to the integration model of IP and ATM.Due to the capability being related to the Traffic Character in the quene buffer, it is considering the traffic character in the fact network and analyzing the quene capability by adopting self-similar model.The conclusion is:The designed vacuum of quene buffer is small,the more quene buffer vacuum is needed.Because router' s cushion space is enlarged, the old router transmitting efficiency will be affected. So it is bringing forward one designing project of interface card in MPLS Router after analyzing the configuration of router.It disjoins the data and control data by setting quick and slow channels. It realizes the lookup of changing length and fixed length by using CAM/RAM. The designed vacuum of quene buffer will be calculated by the self-similar traffic. Consequently router realizes the high speed transmitting.
