Originating from technical innovations, and determined by the technical advancement, Internet, with military information communication as its initial purpose, has successfully qualified itself as a mass medium and culture. Regarded as a new form of communication, Internet inherits and develops traditional communication theory, particularly the sending-receiving theory. Internet, as a sub-cultural system, enriches the cultural elements and broadens ways of cultural representation. Based on the sending-receiving theories of classic communication theories, this dissertation analyzes the sending-receiving styles and characteristics of Internet communication, and bases the impact of Internet communication on cognitive cultural environment upon the inner mechanism resulting from the evolution of sending-receiving theory. This dissertation develops its discussion through the following the logic: research review and theory retrospection; detailed analysis of the sending-receiving styles and characteristics of Internet communication; discussion of the re-construction of cognitive cultural environment. The whole dissertation is divided into three sections: communication research review and relating theories retrospection, including "Lasswell Line Mode, Shannon-Weaver Mathematic Model, Slam Reclycling Mode and Malaizec System Mode; detailed analysis of the sending-receiving styles and characteristics of Internet communication, including noumenon characteristics and marginal characteristics; detailed study of the three impacts of Internet communication characteristics on cognitive cultural environment.
