Implement Of Frequent Flyer Program System Of China Southwest Airline

With the development of China civil aviation, the government gradually awards the airlines more flexible authority on the price. Civil market competition became more and more severe, some aielines, such as CA, CZ, etc., have set up their Frequent Flyer Plan (FFP) by importing and set up FFP system. The carrying out of FFP makes clear economic benefit in those companies. Now, FFP has already become the main competition means among the airlines.Frequent Flyer Plan System of China Southwest Airline (CSWA) is a application system based on Qualiflier FFP of Swiss Air and enhanced by CSWA. As the system construction key member, I participated the whole course of the project, from investigation, plan choice, requirement analysis to system design, test running and acceptance. I was responsible for the core system function modification and mile banking sub-system development at the begining, and at the close phase I became the FFP project manager responsible for the system maintain and new function. At the end of 2002,1 took part in the integration of CA and CSWA FFP System to a new FFP system. The thesis was completed under the instruction of Supervisor Yu Zhonghua and Ye Jianyong , andwith my practice work and project experence. This thesis summarized the development of Management Information Systems of airlines and characteristics of AS/400 system at first, then described the enhanced design of FFP system and its sub-systems with major focusing on the implement of mile banking sub-system. In the end, this thesis showed the unification of FFP system of Airchina and CSWA, and pictured the future of FFP system.
