| CT-TCM(concatenated two-state trellis-coded modulation) scheme is a novel Bandwidth-efficient channel coding scheme. A noticeable feature of the CT-TCM schemes is that asymmetrical and time-varying trellises are introduced to design strategy. Furthermore, whatever modulations CT-TCM employs, the number of states that its encoder can be in is always two, so that this novel scheme significantly reduces the complexity of system. Compared with existing turbo-type coded-modulation schemes, CT-TM codes offer a low-cost alternative with near-capacity performance. This thesis analyzed the performance of CT-TCM scheme over fading channels, and proposing some abecedarian rules about how to design optimum schemes on fading channels. The main results and contents are as follows.1. The basic principle of TCM were addressed as a foundation theory of CT-TCM scheme;2. Deriving symbol-by-symbol MAP algorithm in detail, as well as BCJR algorithm;3. Proposing and analyzing the modification of symbol-by-symbol MAP algorithm adapted to AWGN channel and fading cannels, respectively;4. Introducing and analyzing the processing of global iterative decoder based on compared with iterative decoder of TTCM scheme;5. Analyzing the performance of CT-TCM scheme over fading channels with theoretical analysis and simulation. Furthermore, proposing some abecedarian rules about how to design optimum schemes on fading channels.6. Investigating the design of CT-TCM schemes over fading channels according rules of concluded from simulation and ideals obtained from other documents. |
