Research Of Web Education System Based On Semantic Web And Agent

Web technology,Which became more and more perfect,will push Education develop to Web model.Based on the developing of Web Education,we put a education system ,which have had some speciality of intelligentize ,hypermedia,cooperation,web virtual socialization and based on Semantic Web and Agent forward as one of research objects. Semantic Web will help machines semantically communicate on Web. Ontology is the basic of semantic understanding, which acts as vocabulary, and the relational attributions and reasoning rules on the vocabulary. However, it exists a two-hard Ontology problem: on one side, it's unrealistic to create an Ontology which would satisfy all the need of the machines on Internet; on another side, no such Ontology means we can not make sure of semantic communication between each two machines.In this dissertation we bring forward an idea that is to use Global Ontology and Local Ontology two-class mode to handle this problem. What's more, the mode runs in the "Web Education System"(WES) which is constructed by the Semantic Web and Agent techonologies. In order to further explore the feasibility of this idea, we implement a Web Education System unit, E-Learning School.Our research works include:1. Bring forward a notion about constructing Web Education System with Semantic Web and Agent. The Web sites which use Semantic Web techonologies act as WES unit, while agent acts as human. We can imitate the real University to construct WES.2. Bring forward the Global Ontology and Local Ontology two-class mode in WVS to handle Ontology two-hard problem. Global Ontology is used to express route knowledge to make agents able to communicate, while Local Ontology describes professional knowledge to make agents communicate deeply.3. Design the framework of WES unit. Each WES unit is self-managed by agents belonging to the unit, and performs its social function.4. Design agent in WES unit. Agents in a WES unit are divided two types, outside-communication agent and inside-wok agent. The former knows about Global Ontology, and is in charge of outside communication; the later is equipped with Local Ontology and are responsible with solving professional problem.5. Implement an example of WES unit, an E-Learning School, which is the application of the WES unit and the agents designed above. We have also designed a suit of Global Ontology and Local Ontology in this domain to test the Ontology two-class mode.
