With new Well Log techniques and Object-Oriented software methods, Compounded with the practices in oil field, we've developed a software system named Windows-based Well Log interpretation system,which greatly benefits the Petroleum exploration geologist in Well Log, Well record and compositive engineering data interpretation. This paper expands on the related methods in Well Log interpretation, principles in maths and methods of software engineer, In addition, the paper gives an algorithm in Bezier Curves Splitting and free-hand curves's joining, etc. After researching into the theoretics related Well Log interpretation and analyzing the software system structure,we have done some specific jobs in the thesis as follows: It executes log data pre-processing and log curves correction by applying maths technique, such as mathematics statistic and correlation contrast, etc. It solves the problems about log depth correction and inclined well, and so on. In addition, we 've developed many modules such as lithology, porosity, liquid process, etc. This paper expatiates how to measure and recognize the fluid flow unit,we use Mahalanobis Generalized Distance Methds,Intra-Layer Difference Methds,The Activity Function and Hierachical Cluster Analysis. This is the first time in China that it has ever been carried out in such a way. Using Statistical Method and ANN to analyse Electrofacies. Presenting a new algorithm in Bezier curves splitting, which enable you to freely add control point without the changes of shape and degree, and a new self-fitting algorithm in free-hand segmented Bezier curves, which largely improves the ability of edit in curves Using the Unified Development Process, which considerably improves predictability of developers and the quality of software and shortens the time between development and final release.
