The Research And Design Of Support Service System For Diploma Project (Dissertation) Based On Internet

The colleges that implement distance education based on web have constituted distance education platform elementarily. But at present, the general teaching systems based on these "modern distance,education" platforms in most colleges are designed for accomplishing "curriculum teaching". These teaching systems are lack for supplying support service for link of the practicalness education such as diploma project (dissertation). Thus, they have not implemented full-scale support for distanceeducation. Under investigation, this article found that the two basic subs) stems------both curriculum packages subsystem and teaching support service subsystem have great effect on teaching quality guarantee of the distance education. But most of the distance education institutions have paid great attention to the design, development and transmission of curriculums. Their neglect of the teaching support service subsystem results in the development unbalance of the two subsystems.Diploma project (dissertation) is a portion of teaching scheme in every college major. It is also an important link of the whole education to accomplish the aim of academy training. It plays an important role in improving students' ability to apply knowledge synthetically and in cultivating their analysis and solution of problems. Therefore, under the circumstance of distance education, it is a worthy research on the support service for the link of education about diploma project (dissertation).This article has preliminarily investigated the general procedure of traditional diploma project (dissertation) under the circumstance of distance education (5 steps: theme selection, general plan, detailed plan, preparation, dissertation, evaluation), existing problems (lack of teaching staff, irregularity of theme selection, infeasibility of prompt communication between the advisor and the student), characteristic of diploma project (dissertation) (independence, originality, synthesis, cooperation, practicalness). Based on that, it has outlined the framework design of service support for diploma project (dissertation) based on Internet, including basic constitution (resource database of diploma project, interactive tools, dissertation system and management system) and idea for development and design.
