The low voltage busbar trunking system (busway), vacuum circuit breaker and permanent magnetic actuator are as research objects, considering "ANSYS" software as platform in this paper, then field calculation module-the main module of whole set electric apparatus' field numerical analysis software is developed.The purpose and significance of developing the software, the actuality and trend of whole set electric apparatus' field numerical analysis, and the main contents and crucial problems of this paper are introduced in the first part. Electromagnetic, structural and thermal performances of busway included two series (LD and XL) are expatiated in large space, then temperature rise test and the measuring of contact resistance are done, at the same time test and calculation result are compared. The electromagnetic character of vacuum circuit breaker and permanent magnetic actuator are analyzed in addition. Finial, the process of parameter analysis is introduced.For insulated capability of busway, the static electric field of single phase to earth and interphase withstanding voltage is calculated and analyzed. For mechanical capability of busway, the magneto-structure coupling analysis is used and computation program is compiled by using apdl language of ANSYS in this paper, then the maximum dynamical force and displacement in X direction can be obtained under the condition of three phases short circuit to earth. For thermal capacity of air-insulated busway, the magneto-fluid-thermal model is established and power frequency magnetic field and joule heat are calculated. And then, the joule heat is coupled into the fluid field analysis as heat generation load. Thermal analysis is directly coupled with fluid analysis. For thermal character of compact busway, the temperature field distribution can be calculated through making joule heat indirectly coupled into thermal analysis as volume load. Test result and computation result of two models can be compared and error is less. In addition, the paper also analyzes the variety of electromagnetic and thermalcapacity with the variety of busway's size. The method has important reference value for the thermal capacity analysis of other electric apparatus.The electromagnetic capacity of vacuum circuit breaker and permanent magnetic actuator are analyzed, including the electric field of vacuum arc chamber, insulation problem between phases of vacuum circuit breaker and the static magnetic field of Permanent Magnetic Actuator (PMA).
