Artificial Intelligence(AI) means intelligent behaviaors concerning artificialities. Intelligent behaviaors consist of perception, inference, study, communication and other behaviaors in complicated conditions.One of AI's long-term aims is to invent machines that can fulfill the above actions just as or better than human beings.Another aim is to comprehend wether intelligent behaviaors exist in machines ,humans and other animals or not. So AI includes double aims of sicience and engineering. The research field of AI is very aboard and many subjects are involved by it. The research field of AI mainly includes distributing AI, knowledge engineering and expert system, natural language processing, robot,machine-study and artificial nerve network, pattern identification, theorem proving, automatic program design, intelligent database and intelligent searching,etc. Expert system isthe activest branch in the research field of AI, which is a program system based on a great amount of special knowledge and experience. The system applies AI and computer technologies to infer , estimate and simulate the dicision-making process of human specialists in order to solve those problems needing human experts, in cording to knowledge and experience provided by one or more experts. We introduce AI and computer technologies to maxillofacial trauma diagnosis and treatment for increasing both the level of first aid and early treatment of maxillofacial trauma and the level of modern managing of the wounded's information.
