Research And Development Of ADAM-5000/485 OPC DA Server Based On Fieldbus

With the development of computer, micro-electronics, communication and networktechnology, the industry controlled field is changing deeply, the new industry informationstructure takes shape, Fieldbus technology and industrial control products are emergingconstantly, the demand for the large range information sharing of automatic system is more andmore higher, the openness requirement for industry's control system is higher and higher. Atpresent, because of adopting user-defined private network and protocol, the major controlsystems(such as traditional DCS) of the industries are deficient of unified interface, systematicinterchangeability and inter-operations, which makes them difficult to integrated into FCS. Thisdissertation, adopted OPC technology, developed OPC Server for ADAM-5000 SeriesDistributed Data Acquisition and Control System based on Rockwell Automation system, toresearch and explore the integration problem of control system in Filedbus.This dissertation discussed the design of ADAM-5000/485 OPC Data Access Server indetail, by further investigating about OPC object and interface and Data Access Specification.Adopted Visual C ++ as the development tool of server, made a detailed analysis from whole topart on the concrete realization of the OPC server. OPC Client Software is developed usingVisual Basic, which have the friendly interface. Tests have been made to testing the function ofthe OPC server, the result of testing indicated that the date accessing of this OPC server hasuniversality, finally we obtained the general method of different device integration between thecontrol system and the Fieldbus system, realized the accessing and operations to ADAM-5000Series Distributed Data Acquisition and Control System in Rockwell Automation system.
