A MANET is a multi-hop temporary communication network of mobile node equipped with wireless transmitters and receivers without the aid of any current network infrastructure. The more and more researchers are take attention to security of mobile Ad Hoc network. This article study the threads an Ad Hoc network face and identify the new challenges posed by this new network environment. Then, it describes the principles and compares the performance and classifies the securities that proposed in the literature. In mobile Ad Hoc networks (MANET), nodes depend on each other for routing and forwarding packets. Cooperation among nodes is a key issue in such an environment. Study indicates that the cooperation is the hidden trouble of mobile Ad Hoc network routing protocol. Guaranteeing cooperation in each node is the essential security demand of MANETBy simulation with NS-2, this paper analyzes the effect of cooperation in global network performance and present a distributed solution to judge, punish and re-admit a selfish node, forcing nodes to cooperate with each other. This article also analyzes in detail the black hole problem in AODV and also proposes a strategy to solve it..
