Faster life changing, more visual requirement, stronger sensationalreading ...... Photo reading age already comes to us. That's why visual studiesarises. The studies of communication text are the foundation of communication studies. But there is a few study focused on it. This topic covers both communication text and the hot problem. The latter is visual culture. It's named visual communication text. As an important development, this thesis will be devoted to looking for the foundation of visual text studies. So the first problem to be solved in my thesis is what the visual communication text is. The second is what forms they exist with. And what characteristics they have. The last is to what degree visual communication text affects acceptors, and to what degree it influences or are influenced by social forces and activities. The study could be enlightened by some theories of mass communication and sociology, and some hypotheses could be generated to test the theories. No doubt, this thesis pays great attention to exploring and promoting studies to the usage in advertisement. Hope my thesis can clarify four problems above.
