A Case Study On Joint Supervision Of People's Congress And Mass Media

Both the supervision of People's Congress and the supervision of mass media fall into the category of democratic supervision.The former possesses legal effect and authority and is on the highest level.The latter helps the masses participate in government and political affairs in simple and direct way and is of popular style.In reality these two supervision make a show of weak points separately.Themasses are not well aware of the functions of People's Congress indaily life, the occasional absence of legal basis in the supervision of massmedia,which easily weaken the positions of both parties in democratic supervision.This paper describes in a positive way a case happened in Wenzhou city and makes a thorough & useful inquiry in mutual reactions between People's Congress and mass media.Two supervision from different levels may complement each other and enhance democratic supervision simultaneously.
