In this thesis, a detailed development of oil-pumping visual simulation system on the oil tanker is studied. The main research content is based on the scientific research project "Oil-pumping Operating Simulator on the oil tanker" for the China Oilfield Services Limited Company. The visual simulation system is an important component of the scientific research project. It simulates three-dimensional dynamic sea and three-dimensional dynamic fore. It simulates oil-pumping process of oil tanker on sea vividly through driving three-dimensional oil tanker model, so as to finish the simulating process of connecting oil tanker and oil storage device.Based on the existing Computer graphics, the author adopts professional three-dimensional modeling software Multigen Creator 2. 6 to build the modeling of visual model such as sky and oil tanker. Then the author adopts Mip-Map texture anti-aliasing method to solve the phenomenon of texture aliasing in the visual model, so as to obtain a good model display effect. In addition, telescope function is realized in the visual system. The author analyses the principle of telescope and gives the relationship between the size of field of view and the zoom factor of telescope. Then OpenGVS 4.5 scene management software is used to develop the real-time three-dimensional scene driver in the developing environment of Visual C++ 6.0. Through the realizing of scene driver, mouse action method is used to drive the oil tanker. So friendly man-machine interface is displayed vividly. Oil tanker manipulator can simulate oil-pumping process vividly through the man-machine interface, so as to achieve the aim of training oil tanker manipulator.The visual simulation system is very successful not only from the point of scene display and updating speed, but also from the point of scene function and the effect of driving oil tanker. The development of the visualsimulation system has very high practical value, it not only reduces the cost of oil-pumping process on sea, to the most important, it saves manpower and achieves the aim of training oil tanker manipulator and improves work efficiency.
