The trend of wireless market is the ultimate push towards new generation of technology and new method of development of such knowledge. Nowadays it's difficult to image designing a wireless systems without computer or design anything without the aid of computer technology. Computer Assisted Design (CAD) and computer based simulations plays a key role in the model system design and optimization. The author make a detailed description of commercial wireless communications, from the most primitive 1G to the most advanced 3G, especially those systems based on IMT-2000. Based on the trend of customer need and the technologies at hand, the author made a profound study on 4G and its key technology include Dynamic Cell Configuration (DCC), asymmetric access network architecture, microwave propagation environment, adoptive antenna and multiple access methods. The most significant part of this research lie on its method to construct the simulation system of 4G communications. The author construct a general simulation platform for all, and apply it to commercial systems to prove its applicability, and the qualified system is applied to 4G objective and thus qualify the simulation results based on 4G.At the final part, the author apply the system to two key technologies on 4G: DCC and asymmetric access network architecture. During the analyzing process, the author developed a unique method the evaluate such new technologies which enable him to provide the comparison of a new system and traditional system, different solutions, or even the performance of each system link. The methods applied here can easily be applied to other technologies and scenarios as well.
