Design & Establishment And Basic Application IPv6 Test Bed

With the popularization of Internet, the increasing defects of nowadaysnetwork protocol IPv4, such as the problem of network address space, theproblem of network security and so on, are become visible. And these bringabout the appearance and the development of the network protocol IPv6, whichbecome inevitable trend direction of Internet development. So theconstruction of campus network in nowadays must be considered supporting ofIPv6 and the campus networks should prepare for the transition from IPv4 toIPv6 network.This study which aimed at having the good grasp of interrelated knowledge,developing basic application, gaining good experience construct IPv6 test bedon the campus network and provide some basic application service. Afteranalyzing and studying characteristics of the IPv6 protocol such as addressspace, address allocation, domain name resolving, routing protocol andsecurity, we build the IPv6 test bed under the limited condition and provideweb service and domain name resolving service, and it connected to CERNET2by the tunnel.Finally, we analyze problems of construction of the test bed, andsummarize our experience. And we bring forward some proposal aboutconstruction of campus network at the transition time and some advertence .
