Embedded Software test, especially the software reliability test is the effective means to detect the defects of software and improve the reliability of software. It plays an important role in software development. With the widely application of embedded software in both military and civil productions, the reliability issue received more and more concerns. This report addresses the emphasis on the reliability simulation test of embedded software and develops the basic definition and theory of software reliability test. This paper also summarizes the characteristics, the necessary and the main functions of the integrated environment for the reliability simulation test of embedded software. This effort systemically researches the integrated environment and the impacts of improved test environment on shorten of fault processing time in test and the raising of efficiency. All these provide the basis for the further analysis of test process and improvement of test environment parameters.Firstly, this dissertation proposes a test suite generation method based on dynamic fault tree. Then,This dissertation studies and analyzes the various elements those have effect on the test period on the basis of statistical analysis of test data gained from the past reliability simulation test for embedded software. Firstly, determine the main elements those affect the test period through the analysis of test process. Secondly, locate the key elements those affect the test period through the experimental method with the application of various means such as statistical analysis technology, regress analysis, cause and effect diagram. Then, the adjustment, experiment and observation are conducted on these key elements. With the change of parameters for test process, the objective of shortening of test fault processing time and improving of efficiency can obtained. All these effort have practical value in the project applications.
