A Distributed WfMS And Its Security Mechanism Study And Application

As the fast development of the computer and network technology,the information resources related with workflow usually lie in the different nodes. An instance of workflow,which exists in the different servers and clients in local area network and wide area network can complete a business workflow using the distributed technology—information share[15].That is a distributed workflow model now. MIS based on distributed workflow technology can make possible that process integration replaces information integration in the old centralized mechanism, which helps to improve efficiency, advances the intercommunication among people or application,and improves software's usability. Workflow is a compute model for the flow of work.It means that the logics and rules,in which works are organized in the flows of work,are showed in the appropriate model and computed in the computer. The main function of workflow Management System(WfMS) is to define,execute and manage workflow and harmonize the intercommunication among works or members in the processes of workflow execution.The implementation of workflow need to depend on WfMS. Role-Based Access Control(RBAC) is a kind of Mandatory Access Control mechanism.Its basic concept is that every user is assigned a right role and every role has its own access ability.Users don't make their ability transfer others at will.It authorizes or cancels users's access ability through assign and cancel roles,and provides the rules by which users are assigned their roles. It implements the separation between the user and his access abilities, and makes the management of the access ability easier. My investigation indicates that the variety of the roles and their corresponding access abilities is greatly slower than that of the roles and the users,and the work way of RBAC is fit for the fact. I studies the theory and application about the distributed WfMS and it's security mechanism through colligating workflow technology,the server cluster,the new software architecture,the advanced safe access control technology,the mature theories about the management system and their practice.I present a new distributed WfMS prototype,in which there are the server cluster,the workflow definition and modeling,the dynamic division of the workflow models,the monitor to workflow and the RBAC mechanism,and so on.
