Reaserch Of Distributed Campus-Network Remote Management System Based On Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)

This paper makes essential statement to the SNMP which the system rely on, it also focuses on developing process, introduces how to develop a reliable network management system based on SNMP under windows environment, with VC++ 6.0 and SNMP++ as tools and spanning-tree as guide.This management system can not only add agent information manually, but also scan agent in certain IP with auto-found function, and find the equipment models, then store the information in data base. Network doesn't remain forever, auto-found function can be used to refresh information to some changes of agent,the function of scanning host use advanced Spanning-tree technology to solve loop problem caused by extra backup circuit in network, host orientation to the port of changed equipment.
