Developing Enterprise Information System Based On J2EE Platform Using Open-source Software Following Agile Method

This research project is a solution proposed for low-cost enterprise information system which is applied for medium-scale enterprise in our country.Nowadays, the traditional ERP based on client/server architecture face new challenges from new information system developed on J2EE platform and mainly based on browser/server architecture. Especially, the emergence of new open-source software, such as application server, application framework and free development toolkit, made more and more CIOs of modern enterprises of our country realize that it is unnecessary buying high-cost ERP system. And under the never-ending change of the business pattern process, the new information system has to be based on an open and extensible architecture and a dynamic combination of business modules so that the information could be shared between the branches of the enterprise efficiently.The solution directs the software-engineering developing, testing and deploying process following agile method. And it adopts outstanding free IDE eclipse and open-source application server JBoss. The system is based on specific extension of struts framework and it uses O/R Mapping framework iBATIS SQL Map as the implementation mechanism through which the JAVA code of business logic access the back-end database system .
