Along with the continuously development of computer technique and simulation technique, the application of Virtual Reality technique becomes more widely and deeply. 3D visual environment simulation is an important branch of Virtual Reality, and domestic and international scholars have performed large numbers of research on it, and they have achieved numerous research results. There is an extensive application requirement for it. People can know diversified conditions of the water quality, water quantity and degree of pollution in different sections of the rivers more meticulous, vivid and intuitionist when 3D visual environment simulation is applied to the simulation of water environment. Visual environment simulation system can provide real-time visual feedback, so that the simulation results can present itself more vividly, as a result, the run mode, run state and run results can be easily understood by the observers with more visual and intuitive effect. Visual simulation plays an important role in the realization of simulation system.The paper mainly concerns the solution scheme of applying 3D visual environment simulation technique to the simulation of city water environment and the solution methods of relevant problems in detail.The paper presents the scheme of water environment model, and has a summary of the method of improving render velocity on the premise of ensuring view exhibition and real-time display velocity.The concept and theory of water environment Scene-driven is systematically and thoroughly studied in this dissertation. The major content and innovation in the dissertation can be concluded as the following aspects:(1) The paper brings forward the methods of generating dynamic water, the driven pattern of the variation of water quality and water quantity, and the display of contamination.(2) The method of auto-roam is presented according to the need of water-environment, and the method of mutual-roam is realized. The range of mutual-roam is also limited in the paper.(3) The collision detection of Vega is improved with Dynamic Sorted Algorithm, so that the efficiency of detection is increased.(4) Display of scene model with real-time control using net data is realized in the paper.(5) For the convenience of the user to understand the simulation results more intuitively, the system adopts the method of presenting the simulation results on the screen with text mode. In order to realize the function, the paper brings forward the method of displaying 2D Chinese characters with the mode of displaying 3D objects.
