| A type of MF antenna—CFA and the so-called Crossed-Field theory of radiation which are generally attracting the attention and suffering much debate and doubt at the same time are presented in this paper. Making a comprehensive comparing, we simulate and analyze the CFA.The radiation efficiency of classical dipole antenna in near area , together with the synthesize of Poynting vector and the defects in the present Crossed-field theory are analyzed. By superposition theorem, the relationship between the near EM field distribution around either of the two radiators of the CFA and the formation of Crossed-field is shown, furthermore, a conclusion that the generate of Crossed-field can reduces the near field around the CFA which then increase the gain of the CFA is reached. We detail the process through which we analyze the CFA using FDTD, and address an idea to analyze the feeding relationship between the E plate and the D plate by aiming to reduce the near field. The characteristics of near field, far field and impedance of the CFA are obtained, and then are validated by using HFSS8.0. On this basis, the work conducted suggests the CFA is not all it claims to be.At last, assuming an attitude of critical, we show clearly a way to continue on this problem in next steps is to model and stimulate CFA more precisely, which will make the work more rigorous. |
