With the rapid development of social economy, the scale and strength of enterprises, both state and private, are continuously growing. The disposal and number of need of data information are increasing. The collection, processing disposal and transfer of information used to be performed by hand. The typical way was to use paper as a media, document envelope or dispatch case as database, vehicles and delivery on foot as the assigning ways of information, while human beings are used as information process machine to finish the write down, classification, combination, order, query, delete and modify. This traditional management is not effective, and apt to be wrong. It can't satisfy the need of modern enterprise management. To build integrated information network system of enterprise will undoubtedly increase the profit of the enterprise. Tour enterprise is an important ring of common enterprises and business enterprise production management. It needs absolute control to basic informational management and resource assignment information. This is an area of modern MIS. This thesis introduces in detail the process of the building of MIS, according to the method of developing MIS, by way of system analysis and database design. 1. The concept of MIS MIS is a man-machine system, which use computer software and hardware resources and database. It can provide information support the running, management and policy function of enterprises and organization.The methods of developing MIS are mainly: structuralized life cycle method, module method and OOP method. At present the popular one is life OOP method. The basic thing is: by using the systematic thinking and systemized project, according to the serving customer principle, structurally,module analyze and design it, The life cycle of MIS can be divided into 5 stages. ①system need. ②system development. ③system installment. ④system Running. ⑤system switch. The system development can be divided into seven steps: ①The system investigation and feasibility analysis; ②system analysis. ③the whole design. ④detail design. ⑤system realization. ⑥system adjustment and trial operation. ⑦system running, evaluation and preservation. 2. ADO objects model ADO data visit interface is the most recent technology for Microsoft to dispose database information. It is an ActiveX objects, it adopts a so-called OLE-DB model, and it is a DAO, RDO and ODBC's expansion. Microsoft gathers ADO in the visual basic 6.0 edition. It has greatly improved compared with the previous Visual Basic DAO, RDO, ADO combines the merits of DAOand RDO, and it can connect with various data structure by simple programming. 3.Client/Server system structure and Browser/Server system structure application module. This system adopts Client/Server system structure and Browser/Server system structure. With Client/Server system structure, application program and logic can be divided into server and workstation. Thus, in order to finish a special task, workstation's program and server's program can cooperate. Client/Server structure sends disposal requirement, not a document requirement, compared with the former files server. The server returns disposal results instead of the document. With Browser/Server system structure ,the system is composed of browser, Web Server and DataBase Server. The design of program is three lays architecture: user interface,business rules and data access 4. The design of system and database The development of the commodity material trade enterprise MIS systemize, automate the material information according to software project developing method. ①System structure. This system adopts module structure. the division and design abide by the principle of module gathering and low coupling between the modules.The major module brings out the lower system module and the individual functional module, to moderate respectively then integrate and testthem,concentrate the MIS function, to design according to structuralized programming requirement. The structure can be divided into functional modules. ②Design of database It includes the principle of database system design, database concept model structure design, database logic structure design, etc. ③The realization of database structure After getting the above database structure, we can realize the structure in SQL server 2000 database system by using SQL server 2000 database system SQL query analyzer. ④The design of functional modules The system design finishes the building of several module, they are system preservation information management module, group planning information management module, group control information management module, finance Information management module ,printing information management module, call-board information management module, etc. To realize user login, adding user, modify user password, print data information, data backup, delete information, update information, information query, etc. The system is developed under advanced network environment. It adopts the current main network operation system: Windows 2000 server; the database service adopts current popular remote network relation database SQL Server 2000 as the background database server. In order to provide data service,Client adopts the powerful Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 as development tools, responsible for providing expression logic, display user interface information, visiting database server etc.
