Clinical Analysis Of TCM Constitution Of Children With Recurrent Pneumonia And Analysis Of Fujiu Paste Therapy

Purpose:Through the investigation of TCM constitution of the recurrent pneumonia children who have participated in the point application therapy, follow-up of the TCM symptoms and respiratory illness, analysis their TCM constitution type and the curative effect of the therapy.Method:A questionnaire survey was conducted to the children who have participated in the point application therapy in the First Hospital of Liaoning University of TCM on summer of 2013, gather the TCM constitution and the state of their illness, then followed up once every 6 months, detailed record their illness, symptoms, treatments and medications during this periods. After followed of 4 times, sorting data which accordance with the inclusive criteria, analysis their TCM constitution type and make a statistics on the changes of their illness and the curative effect of point application.Results:1.Yin-deficiency was most common in the recurrent pneumonia, and then the Qi-deficiency, Yang-deficiency, normal constitution, while others were in the minority. The TCM symptoms has improved in these two years, the differences of cough when encounter cold, sweating, feeble, loose stools and shortness of breath with statistical significance(P<0.05).2.The incidence and frequency of common colds were higher in these children, the incidence of respiratory diseases has fallen in two years, the differences of pneumonia, asthma and cold with statistical significance(P<0.05), and the differences of cough, expectoration and short-breathed with statistical significance(P<0.05).3.The rate of hospitalization has diminished, the difference with statistical significance(P<0.05). The usage rate of injectable antibiotics decreased(P<0.05), and traditional Chinese medicine increased(P<0.05).4.The severity of recurrent pneumonia was remission, and the total effective rate after treatment 2 years was superior to 1 year, the difference with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.There were Yin-deficiency, Qi-deficiency, Yang-deficiency, and normal constitution in these recurrent pneumonia children, and the symptoms of Yang-deficiency and Qi-deficiency were improved after treatment by the point application therapy.2.The point application therapy can relieve the respiratory diseases and symptoms of these recurrent pneumonia children, and reduce the treatment and medication, the condition of pneumonia have alleviated as well, the curative effect is related to the course of treatment.
