Clinical Study Of Tongmai Yangxin Pill Combined With Metoprolol Tartrate In Treating Ventricular Contraction

Purpose:To investigate the efficiency of the administration of tongmaiyangxin pills with metoprolol tartrate tablets in patients with ventricular premature beats(VPB).Method:Patients diagnosed with VPB at the People’s Hospital of Liaoning Province during March 2005 to January 2016 were enrolled into this study. All patients were randomly divided into two cohorts, accepted the treatment of tongmaiyangxin pills together with metoprolol tartrate tablets or tongmaiyangxin pills-mimetic together with metoprolol tartrate tablets(tongmaiyangxin pills and tongmaiyangxin pills-mimetic 40 pills/time, twice a day;metoprolol tartrate tablets 25mg/time, twice a day). All patients were treated continuously for8 weeks. The numbers of VPB contractions in 24 hours dynamic electrocardiogram, total scores of traditional Chinese medicine symptom and heart function grade of NYHA were compared between these two cohorts.Results : The results of the comparisons between these two cohorts after treatment demonstrated that: 1. The treatment of tongmaiyangxin pills together with metoprolol tartrate tablets have better efficiency than tongmaiyangxin pills-mimetic together with metoprolol tartrate tablets(89.85% vs 56.25%, P=0.015); 2. The treatment of tongmaiyangxin pills together with metoprolol tartrate tablets has significant reduced the occurrence of premature ventricular beats(P=0.010); 3. Patients accepted the treatment of tongmaiyangxin pills together with metoprolol tartrate tablets have a better scores of traditional Chinese medicine symptom than the other cohorts(87.88% vs 62.50%,P=0.015);4. Experimental study on the process has no obvious adverse events and adverse reactions occur.Conclusion:The treatment of tongmaiyangxin pills together with metoprolol tartrate tablets can significantly reduced the occurrence of premature ventricular beats.
