A Study On The Influence Of Spatial Position On Attention Blink

Attention is one of the main areas of psychology and neuroscience,human information processing and completion of variety of cognitive activities needs attention.The early research focuses attention on the spatial dimension to resear ch attention resources how to allocate in space.Attentional blink concerned abo ut the attention resource how to allocate in temporal, through the attentional b1ink research,we have a more comprehensive understanding of attention.but atte ntion as a cognitive process, Both related to spatial and temporal.In this study,I examined changes in the spatial extent of attention blink o ver time by RSVP paradigm.And in my experiment,the participants are universi ty students.The first experiment focus on the influence of the distance between T1and T2on attentional blink。I used the experiment design of3(distance0、1、2) x4(lag1、lag3、lag5、lag7) two factors repeated measures with-in subject design.The subjects were college students, with14effective participants.In exp eriment1, The T1position is randomly presenting, The subjects may consider four columns of stimulation as a whole thus they may don’t change the focus of the attention, so in the experiment2, the position of T1is fixed。, I also used the experiment design of3(distance0、1、2) x4(lagl、lag3、lag、lag7) t wo factors repeated measures with-in subject design.with13effective participan ts, The two experiments are all recorded the reaction time and corrected rate. I n the two experiments, the attentional blink phenomenon appeared。The results of the first experiment showed that the distance between T1and T2influenced the correct rate of the second target, and in the condition of0distance lagl sparing appeared. The result of variance analysis showed that main effect of di stance was significant, and the main effect of time was also significant, and in teractive with them was significant.In the experiment2,the result of variance a nalysis also showed that the main effect of distance was significant, the main effect of time was significant. But lag1sparing is disappeared,the result show that the change of focus of attention is play a key role in the attention blin k。...
