| From the perspective of Chinese ontology, this study about1000Multi-category adjective that researched in the Modem Chinese Dictionary6th edition (in the essay we call it Modern Chinese) has been done. By using the methods including quantities&qualities, theory with comparative, description&exploration and form&meaning, etc. The paper also has a comprehensive study about1000Multi-category adjectives in the way of meanings&types, syntactic function, utilization frequency, etc. Meanwhile, by accompanying the multi-category adjectives in Modern Chinese,5th&6th Edition. The new changes about Multi-category adjectives that include word-class of the base new addition and omission are mainly listed in Chapter3.The paper has analyzed sense examples, linguistic data that recorded in Peking University corpus by using different research method to discuss about reasons and evolvement rule. |
