With the momentum of rapid development of network literature, more and more researchers begin to pay close attention to this area. Fan fiction is an important type of network literature. While on the Internet fan fictions are popular, but due to copyright restrictions, they rarely appear in public view and still belong to the minority literature. Network fan fictions’ aesthetic art value is not high, but the fan fictions come from the character of postmodern culture and folk. According to fan fictions, we can see the present social cultural psychology. The cultural value of fan fiction cannot be ignored.The article is mainly divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, mainly introduces the study status of fan fictions, and define several core concepts, such as the "fan fiction","fuiyoshi" and so on. The second part is a simple carding about fan fictions from the characteristics, type, origin and development, which introduces fan fictions and fan works culture, as the foundation of the later chapters. To justify the social cultural value of fan fictions, the third part describes not only the novel typed trend but also fan fictions’ defects in terms of aesthetic art, the position in folk literature, and the postmodern cultural characteristics. The fourth part analysis fan fiction participants’ psychology in detail by reception aesthetics and social cultural psychology. The fifth part rethinks fan culture, revealing the potential crisis in network era and the era of picture-reading through the current situation of the development of fan culture.
